About Claire

A writer for The New York Times for Kids and The Week Junior, Claire Karwowski founded Wowski Media to spark kids’ curiosity and bolster their dreams by producing diverse stories of grit, creativity, and courage.

Born and raised in Swampscott, MA, Claire grew up in a home filled with books and sports. She found her passion for storytelling while studying at Miss Porter's School. Once she received her degrees in Theatre Arts and French from UNC-Chapel Hill, Claire moved to New York City where she worked in tech as well as wrote, produced, and acted for screen and stage. Claire now splits her time between NYC and Zürich.
